Get ready to experience the most unique Canadian wonders, alongside a group of like-minded adventurers.

How it works

Never RV’d before? Don’t worry! Here’s what you need to know.

1. Gather Your Crew

Choose between a Full RV or Solo Traveller.

Full RV: Select your group size: 4 or 5. While up to 5 individuals can easily fit in an RV, we recommend a group of 4 for the best comfort and value.

Solo Traveller: Grab your adventurous spirit and book yourself an individual spot. You’ll share the RV with other like-minded solo travellers.

*Note: All RVs must have one individual with a valid G driver’s license. Solo Travellers do not require a driver’s license.

2. Grocery Shopping

To save yourself precious time, we ask that you and your crew do grocery shopping prior to your Road Tryp. We will provide you with a recommended list of grocery items and other essentials that you may need.

3. Pick Up Your RV

On Day 1 of your Road Tryp, you’ll be greeted by your Road Tryp Director and other fellow Tryppers. You’ll get your RV and have time to unpack your belongings and groceries. Free parking for your cars is provided on-site. We strongly recommend car-pooling to the RV pick up location to ensure availability of parking.

4. Orientation

You and your crew will undergo a brief orientation led by your Road Tryp Director. You’ll learn everything that you need to know to operate your RV safely and confidently. You’ll also be provided a detailed itinerary that includes timings and locations so that you can keep up with the caravan or travel at your own pace. First time driving an RV? No worries at all. You’ll get a hang of it after a few KMs on the road!

5. Hit the Road!

And away you go! Over 1,000 KMs of beautiful landscapes to discover, and countless memories to be made.

5. Return Home

After the adventure, you will drop off the RV at the same location where you picked it up. We guarantee that you’ll head back home amazed by the beauty that Canada has to offer!

Road Tryp Itinerary

We are now booking for our upcoming June Tryp in 2021! Check out the itinerary below.

DAY

01

Welcome to your Home on Wheels

Your day will start by picking up your RV in Brampton, Ontario just outside of Toronto. You and your crew will be assigned an RV and will be given a brief orientation on how to operate your home on wheels and its many awesome features.

Next, you hit the road! Destination - Algonquin Park. Upon arrival, we will let you settle at your campground and enjoy the essence of the park’s vast interior of maple hills, rocky ridges, and thousands of lakes. The first day will be dedicated to relaxing in nature in preparation for the active days to come!

DAY

02

Canoe Exploration

Good morning camper! After a hearty breakfast in your luxurious home in the woods, you will head out on a day-trip by canoe.

Prepare to be amazed by the serenity of Canadian lakes surrounded by deep forest for as long as the eye can see. Your Tryp Director will guide you through some of the most gorgeous lakes that Algonquin Park has to offer. The route will give you the opportunity to cross four different lakes and make a short portage with your canoe. Keep your eyes open, wildlife in the area is vast. If you’re lucky you will come across a moose or two!

DAY

03

Lion’s Head

Get your favourite car jams ready for the long but worthy ride! Today we pack up and ride West to a diamond in the rough found along the coast of the Georgian Bay. Lion’s Head, named after a lion-like rock formation in the Niagara Escarpment, is a cute Canadian community with a stunning horizon and impressive lookouts. This day will be dedicated to settling in our campsite along the clear water and exploring the charm of the town of Lion’s Head.

DAY

04

Crystal Clear Water

We start the morning with a gorgeous hike through Lion’s Head Provincial Park. Your Tryp Director will guide you to an unforgettable lookout of limestone cliffs and clear blue shorelines. You don’t have to travel to the Caribbean to swim in baby blue water. Ontario has its own very special spot that even not many locals have witnessed themselves - The Grotto. It’s one of Mother Nature’s crown jewels. The turquoise pool of water and intricate cave structures are mesmerizing. We will spend the day hiking, admiring, and swimming alongside The Grotto and its tropical surroundings.

DAY

05

Beach Vibes

Next, our caravan heads south of the Bruce Peninsula. We will make a pit stop and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking Sauble Falls. Finally, we make our way to one of the largest freshwater beaches in all of Canada. Sauble Beach stretches over 11 KM long and promises the most beautiful sunset in the province. After a well deserved rest, the remainder of the day will be dedicated to some fun in the sun and living the ultimate Canadian beach life.

DAY

06

The End of the Road

Today our caravan rides one last time for the final long-haul. We crank the music in the RV, sing along with our crew, and make our way back to Toronto. RVs will be returned at the same location they were picked up. We head home knowing that this is a Road Tryp done right!

Where one journey ends, another Tryp begins.

“Not at all touristy!”

The experience was not at all touristy, and truly felt off the beaten path which was exactly what I was looking for. It would have been very difficult to do this by myself. To top it off, the group was made up of easy-going, like-minded people. Recommend 100%!

Important Notes

Some tips on how best to plan your tryp!

Accomodation

You’ll be sleeping on beds within your private RV for 5 nights! If you’ve never done so, don’t worry, it’s the most comfortable camping experience.

Cancellation

In the case of cancellation, you must notify us at hello@tryps.ca. Deposits / payments are refundable for tryp credit up until 60 days prior to your Tryp start date. Afterwards, all payments are non-refundable.

Driving

All RVs must have one individual with a valid driver’s license. If you’ve never driven an RV before, no worries at all. It’s quite similar to driving a Moving Truck. After a few KMs on the road, you’ll get a hang of it.

Easy & Flexible Booking

Book your spot with just a $100 refundable deposit. Click here to learn more.

Electricity

The RV generates electricity through its internal battery or through an external power source. RVs are equipped with 110V electric sockets for all your charging needs. All of our campsites provide an external power source.

Equipment

The RV is fully equipped with all necessary items and features for a comfortable Road Tryp.

Food

To save yourself precious time, we ask that you do grocery shopping prior to your Road Tryp. We will provide participants with a recommended list of grocery items and other essentials that you may need.

Gas

The listed price includes gas for the entire Road Tryp itinerary. Extra gas consumed will be the responsibility of the participant. Participants must return the RV with the same amount of gas provided upon pick-up.

Insurance

The listed price includes insurance for $5,000,000 Public Liability and Property Damage. Participants must provide a $1,000 refundable security deposit on the day of pick up. This is the deductible in the event of any incident. See full details here.

Mileage

The listed price includes a total of 1,200 KMs - enough mileage for the entire Road Tryp itinerary. Additional KMs consumed will be billed to the participant at a rate of $0.51 cents per KM.

Orientation

On Day 1 of the Road Tryp, you’ll undergo a brief orientation led by your Road Tryp Director, and you’ll learn everything needed to operate the RV safely and confidently. You’ll also be provided a detailed itinerary that includes timings and locations so that you can keep up with the caravan or travel at your own pace.

Packing

We will provide you with a recommended What to Pack list well in advance of the Road Tryp.

Payments

For your convenience, payments are done in 2 simple installments. Upon making your booking, you can view the payment schedule showing due dates. Your booking can be paid online by debit or credit card. Click here to book your spot.

Recreation Vehicle (RV)

Often abbreviated as RV, a Recreational Vehicle is a motorized vehicle or trailer which includes living quarters designed for accommodation. RVs are by far the most comfortable way to travel long distances on the road and experience outdoor camping. Our RVs are full-out Motorhomes which means the vehicle and accommodation areas are conveniently part of one single unit.

Route

The route as provided to you prior to departure is subject to change as changes in weather and other external factors are out of our control.

Standard Services

While we aim to provide the highest level of services, some components of the holiday (such as wi-fi, bathrooms, refrigeration etc.) will differ from the standard of service that you may experience whilst at home.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is optional though we highly recommend getting coverage. There are many options and we can certainly point you to our recommended source.

Water & Sewage

The RV is equipped with a freshwater tank which provides running water for kitchen and bathroom needs. Throughout the Road Tryp, you will learn how to empty and refill water tanks when needed.

What’s Not Included?

Food/Groceries ($75 per person)
Refundable RV Security deposit ($1,000 per RV)
*Prices are in CAD.
