You’ll experience Ontario like never before with other wildlife-loving travellers. Backcountry camping and portaging is truly the only way to breakaway from the crowds, appreciate nature, and live the Canadian wilderness. That’s what this Tryp is all about. We take care of all logistics and planning so you can focus on enjoying the outdoors, disconnecting from the city, and meeting other adventurers!

 Algonquin Park is beautiful during July with average daytime temperatures of 25°C and 11°C at night.

Algonquin Wildlife

Itinerary

DAY

01

Paddle Up!

Your day will start bright and early where you’ll meet your Tryp Leader & other Tryppers at one of the 2 pickup spots. Then, you’ll head to Algonquin Park where you’ll get fitted with all of your needed equipment. 

Next, you hit the water! Destination - the backcountry woods. After a short orientation, we will cross through multiple lakes and a couple portages to arrive at our secluded campsite. We’ll set up our new home for the next 2 nights, cook our dinner over the fire and appreciate the peace of the Canadian outdoors.

02

Exploring Algonquin

Good morning camper! After a hearty breakfast and a warm coffee overlooking the lake, day two will be dedicated to some relaxation and exploration. Prepare to be amazed by the serenity of Canadian lakes surrounded by deep forest for as long as the eye can see. Your Tryp Leader will guide you through a canoe route designed to appreciate the incredible wildlife Algonquin Park offers. Keep your eyes open, you might get lucky and spot a moose!

Before dark, we’ll be back at our campsite where we can start preparing dinner and appreciating a gorgeous sunset. The rest of the night will be spent roasting marshmallows and singing kumbaya!

03

The Return Journey

By your third day, you’ll feel like an experienced camper! After our breakfast, we’ll clear our site and begin the return journey. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of beautiful stops along the way.

After returning our equipment, we’ll head back to Toronto. As we approach the busy city, you’ll get a new found fondness for your time in the woods and the peace it gave you. Until the next Tryp!
